💰 Rewards & Pool Rules

• Starting Pool: 25 Gold.


• Pool Growth:
  
  
  
  • If no one guesses correctly, the pool increases by +25 Gold in the next round.
  
  
  • There is no limit to how high the pool can grow until someone guesses correctly.
  
  
  
  


• Reward Calculation:
  
  
  
  • Only the endorse amount of the winner determines their share of the pool.
  
  
  • Example: Pool = 5000 Gold, winner endorsed 5 currency → reward = 20% × 5000 = 1000 Gold.
  
  
  • Players must also have commented on the designated article (here) for their guess to be valid.
  
  
  • If the winner does not comment on the provided link, the reward is void, and the pool resets to 25 Gold.
  
  
  • If there is a second player who guessed correctly and fulfills all requirements, that player becomes the winner and receives the reward.

⏱ Round Duration

• Each round lasts 5 days.


• After 5 days, the round closes. No more guesses will be accepted.


• The winning number and secret word will be revealed in the next article, along with the winner(s).

🔐 Fairness & SHA-256

• Before the round begins, the host generates a secret winning number and a secret word, which are combined and hashed using SHA-256.


• To ensure fairness, the host uses a custom application to generate the hash:
  
  
  
  1. The host only inputs the secret word into the application.
  
  
  2. The application automatically determines the winning number and generates the hash.
  
  
  
  


• This hash is published at the start of the round, ensuring the winning number cannot be changed later.


• At the end of the round, the application scans all comments on the designated article:
  
  
  
  1. It extracts the numbers from the format in each comment.
     /x_number
     
  
  
  2. Each extracted number is combined with the secret word and hashed.
  
  
  3. If a hash matches the announced hash, that number is declared the winner automatically, no manual check needed.
  
  
  
  


• If no winning number is found in the comments:
  
  
  
  • The host performs a brute force hash check from the minimum to maximum possible numbers to find the winning number.
  
  
  
  


• Why not simpler methods?
  
  
  
  • The host could just pick the winning number beforehand or generate it first and then combine with the secret word.
  
  
  • However, the host feels this method is more fun and fair, as players have a genuine chance to guess the number without bias.
