Interview with Admin

Hello, in my first article, I wanted to talk a bit with Admin. I will bring more interviews if possible and if you like it. I will try to avoid taking much time, so here we go.

Question: Give a brief introduction about yourself.

I’ll skip this one. I’d also advise everyone not to reveal personal details online or in-game.

Question:  What inspired you to make eDominacy?

I didn’t actually create it—I was strongly against it at first, so it was made without me. If you’ve followed the Admin News, you’ll know I joined on Day 17 to help out.

Question:  What do you think the game will be like in two years?

Pretty much the same as now. Those who enjoy it will keep playing, those who don’t will step away and maybe drop in from time to time. That’s how it usually goes—it’s an open market, and everyone chooses how to spend their free time.

Question:  I've noticed a decline in activity on the game. What do you think might be the reason for this?

There are several reasons: community toxicity, and a generally small player base. Updates and changes mainly affect the players who are already here, so over time, when some start losing interest, they leave. Rebranding or adding new events may help change the atmosphere, but they won’t solve everything.

Question:  Has there ever been a time when you thought about closing the game permanently?

No.

Question:  What has been the biggest technical challenge you've faced since creating the game?

Every day comes with new challenges, but nothing has been overwhelming. If you understand the technology, everything is manageable.

Question:  What part of the game do you think needs to be improved in a short period of time?

The game as a whole. Maybe it doesn’t need drastic changes, but it’s hard to improve it without changing mindsets first.

Question:  Are there any interesting or funny anecdotes related to the game you'd like to share?

Not really. I try to keep some distance from the game to remain objective. For me, everything is in the numbers.

Question:  Do you have any ideas in mind to revive the activity?

I believe the answer is already reflected in some of my earlier responses.

Question:  How satisfied are you with the game today on a scale of 0 to 10 (0 being the least and 10 being the most)?

That’s not simple to answer. As these questions show, there are aspects I’m satisfied with and others that could be improved. So my answer is both yes and no.

Question:  Have you forged any real friendships through the game?

Not really.

Question:  Do you consider the use of bots and scripts to be controlled?

What’s the purpose of a game? Many of us who’ve been around a while have played(and still playing) with bots all our lives—just for entertainment. So in a way, it’s logical and normal.

Question:  Are there or were there any features you wanted to include but weren't technically or financially possible?

In today’s age, everything is possible. The real question is: would it actually matter?

Question:  What is the most exciting moment you remember in the game?

I’m not personally involved in the game, so I don’t recall any.

Question:  If you could add any mechanic, any mechanic, regardless of its complexity or cost, what would it be?
If I had something in mind, it would already be in the game.

Question:   If eClesiar had an official anthem or soundtrack, what style of music would it be?
This is showing just why i did not answer on these questions at first place 21

Question:  Have you ever created a secret account to play as a regular user without anyone knowing you're the Admin?

Nop.

Question:  If you could teleport the game's community into real life for a day, what do you think would happen?

Teleport ?! It’s already happening all around us—you just have to pay attention.

Question:  What's the funniest conspiracy theory players have come up with about the Admin?

There have been endless ones. I’ve stopped keeping track and don’t even remember most anymore.

Question: Is there anything you'd like to add for the community to hear? Thank you.

This is a game—enjoy it. Use it as a happy place, a place to relax and leave real-life problems behind.

Change your mindset first, rather than others. Innocent sheep…
So, any consequences for players using scripts and bots? Smile Also, am I playing eClesiar here? :s
